Hey duncancartegena! You should use that joke in your newspaper ads for your teaching services and then translate it to English to show your lighthearted linguistic flexibility.... ( I remember you discussing creative marketing techniques a while back...)

As someone who lived in Spain for a number of years and witnessed many American/Spanish marriages, this joke has a HUGE element of truth to it.....joder....esta muy muy bien!!!
y desde el club de los humildes rescatar aquellos besos que he tirado sin amar
On the other hand....at 32 I'm still single, and so is my 30-year-old sis, and many of my female acquaintances....whereas the majority of my American friends from H.S. are married....heck! some have been married for a decade already! ....and some a couple of times even!!!

Pim, in the little city where I live, the aim of most girls is to get maried right out of high school, if not before!
I think the will to nest is pretty much an international urge. However, many more women are thinking twice about it in many countries and make a decision not to go down the aisle!

My high school girlfriend has been married and divorced FOUR times! None to me, (thank God) because we broke up a month after high school graduation.
I didn't get married until 9 months before my 40th birthday. "Early" is good for some, "late" for others...."late" was definitely better for me!
