Ok, this isn't technically Madrid related but it is english teaching related. I've only just recently started listening to podcasts and I came across this really interesting one. It's these three guys mostly based in the Washington D.C. area who are all language teachers and who talk about various words and their roots and meanings as well as discussing why we use words in the way that we do. I've been downloading them and listening to them while on public transport and have really enjoyed them.
Their website is The Word Nerds and I encourage anyone who has chosen to teach English to listen. You don't need an MP3 as you can listen from your computer. I wonder if such a site exists in Spanish?
