Me hubiese gustado verla.

Inquiring minds want to know! Big Grin

The dress was designed by a Catalan, can't remeber how much it was, but a lot I guess.

Aqui tiene; La Boda

The dress was designed by a Spanish designer named Pertegaz, who's been around a long time (designed for Jackie O, Audrey Hepburn, and, of course, Reina Sofia). The Reina Sofia museum had/has an exhibit of his works. Don't know the cost, but the notable fact was that only three seamstresses worked on the thing.

I read that TVE will be doing a DVD on the wedding, with all proceeds going to the victims of 11-M, so look for it soon. You can satisfy both your royal fetish and your sense of charity. However, it will probably be Region 2 and in PAL format.

Disculpa que no escrib en espaol.

You are correct, Eduardo, as we speak, El Corte is selling the DVD/pal for 5,95 Euros. Not bad.
So, I'll have to buy the dvd to see all the details! Big Grin

When I was watching the news on saturday evening, the guy reading the news said, and I quote; "The dress was dsigned and made by a Catalan by the name of..........etc in Barcelona, etc etc.

His exact words. I feel sure that they must have had good reason for specifying his regional Identity. But Anyway, who has got the time or bother to get into a hair splitting contest, over whether or not a man should be refered to as a Catalan or a Spaniard. If he comes from Catalunya he is a Catalan, if he comes from Espaa he is a Spanish man. The dress was nice, and the maker deserves a pat on the back, and that's all that matters right now, not what part of the Peninsula he is from.

I purposely havent posted on this thread, as I cant write in Spanish, but as it seems now to be in both languages I will! As some of you know I am an avid fan of the monarchy, so I had a wonderful day on Saturday in front of the television watching the wedding all day (sorry jer Big Grin ). Today I bought a copy of Semana which is full of pictures, stories etc of the Boda Real.

It states that the dress is a "creacin exclusiva de la firma valenciana Rafael Catal"

Actually the dress was designed by Miguel Pertegaz who has been around for quite some time, and is Catalan.
