Hi Ernesto2ndo. Flying between Madrid and Alicante is a good option. If you look at www.spanair.es they sometimes have some extremeley good deals, and last time I booked it was cheaper flying than using the train. The flying time is just under one hour.

Hi Ernesto2ndo, You might want to check out the tariffs at www.iberia.es, if you have flexibility with your travelling plans I know that you can get one way tickets starting off at 19€+charges, from madrid to alicante, it just depends what dates you want to go or come back.
