Nov 5th and the terrazas are being taken down. So there you have it, the "terraza season" in Plaza Mayor is mid March to early November. You see, they have to take them down now to prepare the Plaza for the Amudena Mass that will take place on this Saturday morning, Nov. 9th. See the thread HERE for details Saludos, jer...

Wow! quote: So there you have it, the "terraza season" in Plaza Mayor is mid March to early November.
It would seem that this year the "terrazas" are going to be in the Plaza nearly 10 months of the year. They out them back up last week as you can see on my webcam, and it is still January The past few days have been springlike here as far as the weather goes but I am not sure that it will stay this warm. I think the town hall has simply decided that they can make more money by allowing the restaurants to keep up the terrazaz the entire year (except for the 2 month+ break from Early Nov. to Mid Jan.). Better for all of us, more action on the PLAZACAM Saludos, jer...

Ah, what it must be to live in a truly TEMPERATE climate! We finally got winter here and today the high temperature is to be 17F and the low 3F with a wind chill at present making the "real feel" twelve below!
Pack light, sleep cheap, eat well.
