I pulled up an old "Memories of Madrid" topic from July 2004 and I saw a post from you to me, DBoz (Diana). This is a late reply,TJ but I did not realize that you posted. Last I checked, and that was wayyyy back in July 2004, was one post to me from Jer.
Did you ever get back to Madrid? I haven't but I am going in October 2005 for 10 days. my first time back in many years.
Our posts were about letting circumstances and people stop us from returning to Madrid and not following our heart's desire. Time goes by and Madrid still calls to our hearts.
Though much time has passed, your post to me touched me tonight. I just want to say thank you. It was a very sweet and from the heart post.
Well, here we are in Sunny Florida and both having part of our hearts in Madrid..I hope that you made it back...maybe even to stay.

actually, he did hit spain a while back (don't recall exactly when) but it was what the spanish refer to as a "visita rel�mpago" (lightning visit).

i think he was only in madrid a few hours (traitor ) to get a rental car and he was in spain a total of like 4 days.

i met him at the museo del jam�n for bfast the morning he picked up his car.

I sold my business, went to Spain's beaches for a bit and then hung out on Florida's various beaches for about 4 months before getting back on a payroll. Was doing alot of "on the road" consulting so didn't have much access to or time to get on the net and "mm" so I was missing in action for quite a while. Now I am an office troll again and am in mm every day.

I will be in Spain next summer to run with the bulls and tour north Spain for about 15 days. You should try to hook up with some "mm'ers" when you go to Spain next. Good bunch of folks and Jer' knows all the secret spots although stay away from the board member that tries to pick up women in the metro, he seems a "greezy" sort! And madsue is trouble - - always seems to get herself into some situation that has something to do with la policia -

Dboz, after so many years, I shouldn't be so amazed at the draw that Spain has to many Yank's and our not to distant cousins on the other size of the pond, but I am. There are two or three mmer's that have a gift for the written word and do an amazing job at expressing their obsession with Spain. I can only narrow mine down to Anis, San Miguel and Jamon Serrano :b: .

I am in Tampa, Dboz. I think your message said you are in Florida. Where are you located? Booklady lives in Jacksonville, Florida. I haven't seen her on the board much lately!!

Happy to hear that you have been back to Spain and going again next summer....and breakfast with Jer at the Museo del Jamon, I'm impressed.

I'll be going to Madrid for 10 days in October 2005....I am sooo excited I keep counting the days. First thing on my agenda will be trying to meet up with some "mm" people.

I'm from Palm Beach Gardens, TJGuy from Tampa. It is the home of the PGA Golf Tournaments. I moved 40 miles north of Sunrise, FL, in August 04.
