I was doing a study of my Madrid map and found a street called nuez de balboa. This reminded me of the Balboa Hotel that was run by the U,S. military. I did a little research and found THIS PICTURE. The problem is that it does not look like the hotel I remember. The enterance was on the left side of the picture. Possibly they moved it.

The hotel back in 1961 had three restaurants on the ground level Spanish, Oriental and German. The second level had a stage for entertainers, a bar and lots of slot machines that actually paid well.

There was a Metro about 2 blocks away but I cannot see it on the map.

My question, is this the same Balboa Hotel and what was the Metro stop?
