Maybe Blair's wife should do the next add of "la ONCE" here in Spain. She could get Bush, Aznar and her "hubbie" to form a choir . A real success, 4 sure!

Johnathan Richman is a genius, as anyone who has followed his career can testify, check up his discography (Egyptian Reggae)and his relationship with Spain. I first went to see him 18 years ago in Madrid when he had just discovered Spain and Spanish audiences and that they liked and knew his stuff, every time he has come back he tries to speak a little more Spanish. He played last year in El Sol. As for the summer song,Tapitas gets my vote and the vote of all my family, their friends, their friends friends. I can't wait for the album.

Talking about summer's songs.. Have u listened to papi chulo? Dont you find it kinda "strange"? I would dare say que da cagalera I suppose one can dance it after drinking maaaany "copas de gisqui" Well, well always have the chance to listen to our beloved OT artists, whose songs are played all the time everywhere - even in Carrefour !!! (Im thinking about taking my walkman when I go shopping )

Sensis, I would suggest moving to Lloret de Mar if you want to avoid OT. With the exception being, of course, Beths Dime because I live in Catalua and she represented Catalu... errr... Spain at Eurovision. Only store that plays OT here is Pimkie.
Seriously, in my 50 hours a week I pull at the store, I have heard the Davids a grand total of once each on Radio Lloret. However they have played Wilson Philips about 5 times and put on Paula Abdul almost every day. so you can take your pick... OT or Wilson Philips. Thats a tough one...
Oh, and our hit of the summer is clearly Bye Bye. Though I hear that awful Papi Chulo song a lot and that even worse Fiesta song. Now THATS a painful song. Its a party... a big house party... Its a fiesta... SOMEONE SHOOT ME. It almost makes me like that horrible "Hello My Friends" song where they cant even pronounce Hello.

I suppose summer is a time for "hortera" songs, as well as for some good ones. I have to say that Beth's song (the one with which she represented a TODA Espaa, not just a part ) is nice, but Im also getting tired of it, cos they play it all the time everywhere. It seems the musical scene of this country needs some new quality stuff. We just can wait patiently now...

I have noticed that the bars seem to be playing a lot of songs from previous years. It may be that this is a nostalgic year, after all when one hears those melodic sounds of Aserej, La Macarena, or Mayonesa one tends to remember those halcion days of yesteryear, now those were the days.
I suppose its a good thing that OT has a deal with McDonalds, so that we can all collect their OT hits while dining on choice American cusine, life just dosent get any better.
Cheers

Thta's right Shawn, They're playing many songs from previous years. Maybe there's some lack of creativity for summer rhythms this year, or maybe it's that nostalgic feeling you mentioned. Who knows!

It's strange that nobody has talked about summer songs yet with this hot here. I think that the most hated song this summer will be Bambu by las Primas, it's horrible, and playing so often !!......... I'm doing a list of songs.

I'm hanged to Sol musica Tv channel watching videoclips all time to be on fashion ha ha :jeje:
