Aw!! Thanx for sharing them with us! They made me really homesick! I'm glad to see that they put the water back in Retiro. Thanks, Joy

Excellent pictures. They are of postcard quality. JUST AN IDEA. I am looking forward to going back myself and making a life there.

Hope you get to go back soon.

Aluche,

Thanks for that. I was in Spain from March 1 - March 9 and it was awesome. Very relaxing. Next time you come to Spain and I am there, get in touch with me and we can get a caf con leche or something.

wow, those were so great (minus the blood in sand at bullfight, yucky!)!!!!! Wow, thanks for sharing those with us. My favorite is the one with Ian McCulloch. I am sooooooooooo jealous you met him, and he posed for a pic. I met their bassist (forgot his name at this moment) but not Ian. Ahh, how lucky you are! Did he sing for you?

as a matter of fact he did sing 'did you leave your car in Barcelona?????' when I asked him twice what he was saying (he was, uh, a little drunk). He and 2 pals were just walking down the C/ Fuencarral at 1am right under our hostal window. very nice guy...

hahaha...page 29 cracked me up. am starting to think that Ian McCulloch is Liverpool's designated Madrid tour guide. I partied with him and Roddy around ten years ago on one of those all-nighters in Madrid. Nice guy and everything, but my Spanish friends always referred to him as Ian McCULO!
BTW I don't have any photographic evidence, cuz digital cameras were pretty scarce back then and i was so drunk it wouldn't have made a difference.
I loved those pictures, thanks for the tour.

Hey Jared, just got a chance to look at ALL your pics.

You remind me of me, taking pic of EVERYTHING Big Grin

Love the "CAT EXHIBIT - FUENCARRAL" :jeje:

Surprised they did not write THIS ONE as "VALLEKAS KONTRA LA GUERRA" Big Grin

Jejejeje, my gal "Ena" is actually the one in the center of THIS SHOT and Candela is the one at her left.

Hey, THIS WAITER at "Museo" on Calle Mayor serves me my breakfast on many a Madrid morning on my way into the office Smiler

What? Did ya think THEY could fly!!! :jeje:

Still don't know who IAN MCCULLOCH is Confused

That MINISCULE CAR looks like one of the electric jobbies that you need no license to drive. WAY!!! You also can't go on the highways with it since it does not go over 50 km per hour.

Nice shot of one of tha few BOTEROS in and around Madrid.

See ya on your next trip.

Saludos,
jer...

p.d. in case you are interested, THIS PLAZA is called "Plaza de Los Cubos" due to the cube sculptures at right in YOUR PHOTO.
