Are they the links at the top, where the "last threads" were? I´ve been clicking on a few of them, but have just realised that I have to scroll way over to the right to see the lot blush

Not to be a pain, but the way the last ten posts at the top of the page is set up, I have to go all the way to the right of the page to scroll down. When I do that, I have to continually scroll back to the left just to read what the posts are. Is there a way to fix this?

Think it´s fixed now, but if not on your screen, if you just roll the mouse over the posts they scroll anyway!!!

big grin Sorry jer!!!!! Have the same problem as The Nanny!!!!! Have to scroll across to the right to see the headers. In my case I think it´s the screen resolution setting, and I will have to put up with it. (Cos I can´t read the screen if I change it roll eyes!!!)

Having seen the new Ads by Google, I thought that I would just mention that there are two URL's (Links/enlaces) to Google that I know of and use, (www.Google.com/ and www.Google.co.uk/).

hey Santi, thanks but i do NOT want this thread to turn into a discussion on search egines.

i only put the ads up because they are dynamic and they scan the page content and show ads related to spain (or to the content of the page they appear on) or i would not use them. every now and then a sill and unrelated ad pops in, for example ads for message board software show up because this is a message board and i am doing my best to avoid that. for some reason some of the ads show in spanish even though i have opted for english and i have written to google ad sense to find out why and if there is a way to not have ads in spanish show. all in all, the ads work well and have replaced the "donate to multimadrid" button since i am convinced that nobody (almost nobody) will ever donate a red cent to the site mad the internet has been free fro so long that people cringe when they see a "help my site, donate a euro" button frowner

so, the google ads are helpful AND every time someone clicks on them and visits the advertisers site, i get paid between a few cents and a few euros cool which i can use to pay for the site. also, it costs the visitor NOTHING to click so there is no reason not to visit the links.

madsue and nanny, i appreciate the problem you are having but can't do anything to fix it. i think it is a problem of both a unusually small monitor screen and a very low resolution (not many 14/15 inchers these days on 640x480 or 800x600 nutz ).

i have fixed the last 10 posts window by moving it left and making it smaller and adding a 10 most viewed topics window as well and i fixed the google ads at top by moving them left as well so you should be able to see them on even the smallest screen and lowest resolution.

keep in mind that with the screens you use (sue at home and Bonnie at the internet café i assume?) will give you visualization problems on the vast majority of websites, not just on mine.

saludos,
jer...

thanks, i figured that out myself roll eyes

btw, in english, "llevarle la contraria a alguien" would be "to play devil's advocate" or something similar.

as i said, if every visitor to this site did that i would not have to work for a living cool
