You should put posts like that more often, you'll get a lot of money from silly wise-asses

I hate quotations. Tell me what you know.

Same problem here, madsue... when it try to seach (both with the little pull-down menu and the advanced search) I get this error:

The page you requested is not available.

madsue--I almost made it to Lanzarote, but my friends booked a place in Menorca before consulting me. But, hey, an island is still and island, so I can't complain too much since they are going to let me crash on their floor for four days...

Good timing, madsue, we're leaving for a three-week trip to the US on the 24th... Glad we'll get to see you before we go. I assume there will be a get-together/night-of-debauchery while you are here...

hey gang!!!

back from bcn and uk and just saw this.

fixed the search, thanks for the heads up madsue.

apparently the broken search function was a side effect of the latest auto upgrade of the board software, they upgrade me now without my having to lift a finger cool

saludos,
jer...

Hey Jer

Sorry if this has been covered already, but I haven't read this whole thread (6 pages!)

I love the new site, but I must admit, I find it impossible to remember the new URL. The old http://www.multimadrid.com is so ingrained in my brain, that I just can't shake it.

(I can't remember my cell phone number either, btw)

Anyway, is there a way to re-point your domain to this new site? As you know, companies spend fortunes on "brand recognition" and it would be such a waste of such a great brand (multimadrid) - or to muddy it up with a new one.. ya know? (the subdomain "spaintalk.multimadrid.org")

anyway, it's a very minor thing, as going to multimadrid.com puts you just a few clicks away from spaintalk.multimadrid.org, but you know what I'm sayin. I bet some companies would kill for your kind of brand recognition/loyalty, etc.

On another note, with Mods arrival, when is the first techie meeting? Did I already miss it? I leave for BCN tomorrow, but will be back next week. It would be great to hook up with you guys and brainstorm a little bit.

Let me know.
Ciao

TL

hey Tony, i hear ya but if i redirect the multimadrid domain it will be no good since the site is more than just the board.

the main site at http://www.multimadrid.com/hogar.htm is still at the old server as i have the next 8 months paid and need to get my moneys worth.

if you want something easy to remember, try http://www.spaintalk.com as that also goes to the board part off my site.

as for the Mod, he is actually on his way over here to my apt. as i write this to help me with a pc problem i am having.

saludos,
jer...

(i should have seen this on the homepage)

any plans to revive the log in page for the wifi project, like the demo we saw?
Let me know if you get that rolling again - it would be fun to work on that with you guys.

hey, when that option becomes available you will see a "preview post" or similar button in the post window where you write your comments.

Sitting here watching paint dry (well actually waiting for the aljibe to fill up a bit, as I let it run dry, so have no water, but same principle!!), so thought it would be a good time to try and find my way round this forum yet again.

I am still finding it so user unfriendly! Am I really the only one? I have noticed that there are very few people online nowadays.......what has happened to the "old" crowd, have they moved on and have I been left by myself? cry

I will continue to try and learn about this new message board, but have to ask "what was wrong with the old format"?

hey sue.

quote:

you said it yourself, it was OLD, can't get in the way of progress nah nah

i must insist that you stop comparing it to the old board format. the problem with that is not that the new format is harder to use, it is actually easier but that you are not willing to change frowner

please be more specific, what are you having trouble with? BE SPECIFIC!!! just saying it is user unfriendly does not help me to help you and i can't sit here guessing what you are having trouble with.
