jejejejeje, thanks to my new found freedom of movement owed to my new mini laptop, mini webcam, and new spirit of adventures in wifi, the ever so popular jerCam at http://www.multimadrid.com/jerlive (you know you just can't take yer eyes off of it ) will now be a roaming cam.
how does it work?
basically, the mini webcam is on my laptop and werever i find a wifi network, i can webcast live.
for example, this afternoon around 6:30pm, authorities permitting , i will be down in the plaza very close to the euestrian exhibit and will have the laptop and webcam on and transmitting a new photo every 20 seconds.
this new roaming jerCam will be viewable at www.multimadrid.com/jerlive as it was before but will not longer be static at my office, it will now be transmitting randomly from wherever i may be connected to wifi. possible locations include but are not limited to...
- home. - office. - barajas airport. - down in the plaza mayor. - cafe de bellas artes. - corte ingles cafeteria in puerta del sol. - irish rover (if i ever get up that way). - Chica's school (if i ever get up that way).
ok, so i screwed up the time and the horsey thang started at 5:00pm, not 6:30
i saw it starting just after 5 as i was passing through the plaza on my way home. it was PACKED OUT but i did manage to get some shots (see the jerCam).
now i am up watching it all from the warmth of my apt you can still see it from afar on the plazacam
saludos, jer...
p.d. the "last 8 shots" thingy is not yet updated on the jerCam so don't try it.
had the roaming cam on this morning and was down in the plaza.
if anyone is curious, the last shot was of the line for people to pick up their "certificado de empadronamiento" (certificate proving they are registered as living here) at the town hall offices in the plaza mayor.
the lines are insanely long due to the new amnesty being offered and those who apply for the amnesty need the certificate.
