I have a normal chat rom aT www.onspanishtime.com/mm/madchat.htm but unfortunately it is not as active as I would like. I spend so much tme on improving and adding to my site that I have very little time to be in the room Frowner

Can you give us the URl for the yahoo chat rooms?

Thanks jazzbo, after I asked you above I found the URL at http://chat.yahoo.com which is where I would start the chat room in English since the http://es.chat.yahoo.com address is for Spanish language chatting.

Anyway, I was trying to start the room up but it seems that once the room is left empty it disappears and you have to recreate it every time you want to use it, right?

I created one and was in it, someone else entered, we chatted and then he left and so did I. When I went back to look for my room it had been erased. I am good with PCs but am not a "Yahooer" so I do not really know how to start a permanent room.

Any tips y'all?

I too was surprised that there was no permanent chat room for Spain chat in English.

Saludos,
jer...

Hey jazzbo, thnaks but I already have Yahoo Mesenger in my PCs but that does not solve the problem of not being able to create a permanent chat room for Spain chat in English. Sure I can create a new room for a chat with you and others which I will do soon but the cool thing is to be able to create a permanenet room in the Countries & Cultures section as you mentioned above since it is lacking a Spain room alltogether. Ideally I would like to creste the room and then link to it from my homepage since my current chat does not get many visitors.

Any tips on creating a PERMANENT Yahoo chat room anyone? Not just a temp one that is erased as soon as the users all leave it Frowner

ok,I dont expect answer from yahoo

so i was just chatting with those who know, who say ,the only way you could keep a chat room open 24 7 ,would be if you had a cable, DSL connection on 24-7 ,and at least 2 people in the room, then it would never shut down, but as soon as people leave it, its gone

Hey jazzbo, thanks man but it looks like it will be very difficult. I wonder how those permanent rooms exist than? There are loads of them on everything from Asia to Cheerleading and they are fixed and never disappear.

Hmmmmm... I have the DSL connection with one PC on 24/7 that I use to manage the webcam of the Plaza Mayor and I could start the room from that PC but the trick is getting another person with a 24/7 connection to leave a PC on all the time and to be in the room. That would make 2.

Anty takers?

Saludos,
jer...

p.d. I am starting to hate Yahoo Razzer
