Wow, that is so cool. How fast does it take the pictures? I would expect to see some people blurring since they were moving around, but everything is totally in focus, which makes it kind of surreal, since even real life isn't that clear... at least not for me.

actually, the chipped shudders and balcony doors are all part of the charm. also, not sure how you do it in the u.k. but if we painted WINDOWS here we would not be able to see out of them you silly boy
hey Megan. the camera is fast but i do not take pics fast when u do a pano. i take one and then turn the pano tripond head 60 degrees and then take another. so, sometimes you may see people appear twice but since they are far away down there you usually don't notice.
Very cool. Any chance though that you can set the pano not to automatically rotate? When I click on the picture it stops rotating but then if I wait a few seconds it starts rotating again.
Otherwise it's great.

can i ask why you would prefer that? that is the first time i have read someone prefers it not to autorotate. i have been all over pano forums learning a lot and the scene is supposed to autospin when it loads and then after the user stops interacting with it for a certain period of time (5 seconds in this case).
it is set to autorotate on purpose so that the user knows it can be rotated as the average user may think it is just a still photo and not read the instructions below the scene, hence missing the whole point.
yes, i set the interval to 5 seconds. the norm is to add the autorotate to all panos.
if you do not want it to spin, just keep the left mouse button clicked on the image. you can also right click and move the mouse up and down for zoon in and out and the scene will not autorotate.
i have to do autoroate or no autorotate and prefer the autorotation. i can adjust the time interval for the rotation to kick in to as long or short as i want however.
do you mean you downloaded the panorama or you downloaded java?
if you are using microsoft internet explorer, the java virtual machine is crap and has all types of incompatibility problems so you are better off with SUN java which is at www.java.com .
I had a friend at work I wanted to show it to but I wanted to not have it show the Plaza until I was ready. No biggie. She was really impressed with it anyway.

Nice Pano, it brings back memories of times in the 1980's & 90's. I have not walked in the plaza since June last year, and might not at all this year, (time & money & opportunity & effort permitting) it's possible, but until then, I'll just have to look at my fotos, and this pano of course.
