Jer:

I tried to go through Paypal with my bankcard and they said I would have to wait 6 months to be signed up because it is a bankcard.(?)

Do you have a mailing address for donations? I don't want to wait 6 months.

Hey jer ... thats awesome!!! Every little bit helps! Have you decided on who/where you are donating the money yet?

We are taking up a collection through the womens dining group that a couple of us ladies organize, and are going through the process of selecting a recipient of collected funds now. If you have any suggestions, let me know!!

hey Chica, i am not sure.

you see, on another thread "payno" was wise in observing and writing that the victims will get plenty of financial help from the govt. so i am trying to think of another way to honor the victims.

he suggested we honor the visctimsa in another, more original way.

i thought maybe we could keep a mm fund going and every 11th of March me and a few mm volunteers could go buy as many candles as victims there end up being when all is said and done (deaths that is). we would then take the lot of candles down to atocha station and place and light them there with a sign.

what does everyone think?

other suggestions are very welcome.

saludos,
jer...

well gang, been nearly a year now.

as many of you know, we have 285 euros that we collected via multimadrid and i thought it would be nice to go to atocha station on march 11th (that's a friday) and light and place one candle for each of the march 11, 04 bombing victims.

i am going to buy the candles and can also get them to atocha with my handtruck but would like a few (4 besides myself would be great) volunteers to help me light and place them there.

i think it only appropriate that the multimadriders do this as we all lived that day together.

volunteers can be anyone, not necessarily those who donated to the fund. the 4 people can either live here or just be visiting, it does not matter.

i would like 4 people to meet me at atocha at 8am (symbolically around the time of the bombing) so we can do this.

please post here and/or e-mail me at jeremy@multimadrid.com ONLY if you are sure you can help.

saludos,
jer...

p.d. for holaaa... and all of you joinee cult members Wink this would be THE ULTIMATE raok Big Grin
