Hey all, glad ya like it.
Nige, although I was asking you for feedback on the one new entry page at
www.losamigoshostel.com/indexnuevo.htm , I appreciate your feedback on the 360 virtual hostel tour I did for them.
I did not design the current Los Amigos site at
www.losamigoshostel.com and do not like it. Hence the redesign starting with the
www.losamigoshostel.com/indexnuevo.htm page
quote:
"This is excellent for bringing any view to life and I saw an example of some other websites which are awesome."
Hey Nige, have you seen my 36 Madrid panoramics at
www.multimadrid.com/panoramics or have you only been on the message board?
Check them out if you have not yet done so!
I would say that I take between 10 and 16 photos in a circle with my tripod, each photo overlaping the previous one by about 25-30% in order to capture a scene. It depends on the depth of the scene you are shooting.
Yes, then it is off to the PIX Maker program (
www.pixaround.com ) to do the rest.
After stitching and publishing, it helps if you know a bit about editing a Java applet to bring it all together but practice makes perfect
The most important step is the photo taking, I have had to go back and reshoot a few times due to poor light and the PIX maker not being able to blend well enough to not note the seems. The best days to shoot are either those without a cloud in the sky or those that are mostly cloudy since the light is uniform. The problems arise when sun is in and out and your photos have huge light differential in them, making it impossible to stitch and blend seemlessly.
Have fun!
Saludos,
jer...
