Man! Now THAT is what I call feedback
Thanks Booklady
You know it is funny, most of the Spaniards I ask to identify the image in my logo can not, however, 9 out of 10 foreigners who are interested in Spain hit the nail on the head with that painting (one of my favorites by the way).
And harfly anyone ever gets the Time...Telephone idea, glad you saw deeper into it
The truth is that the business has really taken off, even to the point that I have not been able to spend as much time on multimadrid as I used to
I am delivering 70+ phones to the United States Equestrian Team (
www.uset.org ) and 2 Canadian teams in 2 weeks to Jerez de la Frontera (Cdiz, Andaluca) for the World Equestrian Games (
www.jerez2002weg.org ) and am psyched. Will deliver on Friday and spend the weekend down there with ena :l:
As you say Booklady, EVERYONE here has a cell phone, it is hard to find a kid over the age of 14 yrs. without one. Recent statistics (and I am usually not one to quote stats.) here in Spain indicate that almost 2/3 of all Spaniards have a cell phone. Europe in general is so much more wired than the U.S.A. in this area.
Sooo true, you could stand out for not having one
I remember once before I had a cell phone and was hanging out with a Spanish friend of mine. He had no battery left in his phone and said to me..."Djame tu mvil to" ("Let me use your mobile phone man") and he looked at me as if I had 4 heads when I said I did not have one. Although he was exaggerating a bit that was years ago and if that happened these days he would die laughing.
Glad that phrase worked for you

Some people want to rent but they feel that if they do they will be seen as someone who can not "disconnect", then they come over and spend 3 hours a day in the internet cafs

Truth is, renting a phone does not mean one can not disconnect. With all the busted payphones around here, the mega high hotel phone rates, etc..., the phone is really a great alternative.
