Hi Jer,

Just checked your website, it's not bad at all.

I like cristal clear websites, but maybe its just too plain. The links are ok, but if you want to center peoples attention, it would be better to light up the important links, or add some kind of icon so that graphically people will know where you want them to go.

I would change the "donations" link if your not going to really accept donations. And if this is really a busines type of thing, and want to live off this, I'd change the comments regarding "if you don't like this...just go away" people who don't know you will probably find this very rude or offensive.

Your closing the door on potential buyers or users.

hey Albert, thanks!!! Cool

as far as living from it, nah, it is more of a whimsical thang of mine, a pet project so to speak. more of a pocket change project.

i have the wifi at home anyway so it was just a matter of putting the router in my window and putting up the website.

jejeje, actually, the donations thing was my discreet sarcasm at work, as is the "If you are one of those "the internet should be free duuuuude!!!" people, please do yourself a favor, stop reading and leave our website NOW!!!" phrase.

just being honest since that is EXACTLY the kind of user i DO NOT WANT.

hence, my statement is perfect as it will scare away the people i want to scare away Big Grin

saludos,
jer...

Well...I really don't agree with how you address the donations thing, but hey... if it's cool for you, you can bet it's cool for me too!!!

I hope you make enough out of it to cover your connection costs, it's a pretty nice idea you had there.

hey Jer, you have an adsl connection with ya.com?

You seem pleased with them, I installed a 4Mb adsl with ya.com last week and had to cancel my account with them this monday due to constant disconnections in my line. On thursday and friday I had no line for more than six hours each day!! Had to go back to my sorry but working 24 hours jazztel connection.

By the way, may I ask you a more tech question about your wi-fi set up. With all of those wi-fi id scanners going around, how do you avoid some jerk getting a free ride on your hotspot. I partialy own a cybercafe thing and thought about runing wi-fi but even after encrypting and putting passwords to the wi-fi line, it seems that your still liable to getting intruders.

Would it be too much to ask, if you could give me some advise on that?
