woooohoooo!!! i just did my first full screen QTVR (QuickTime Virtual Reality) pano of the new and, in my humble opinion, very cool terminal 4 at the madrid airport.
the airport terminal pano can be seen by CLICKING HERE
sorry Roland, auto spin is on but you should forgive me since this one is in QT and you are one of those MAC nuts.
i added the audio but since it was so short i looped it, hope it does not drive you all nutz if it does, just turn your speakers down or off.
hope you all love it
oh, and if anyone has an "in" with aeana (the company that runs the airports here), hook me up and i will sell them a virtual tour and pay you 10% of the total i charge them
I actually teach the Director of Planning and Strategy at AENA who was responsible for overseeing the new extension, I'll show it to him in our class tomorrow and see if he's interested.
i sent a brief presentation e-mail to the e-mail i found for the web administrators of the aena website this afternoon but with such a huge company, who knows if it will ever get to the right person
I checked it all out this evening, and at first I had a few minor problems, but resolved them, there was a problem with the Plug-In that I had installed, and had to re-download my version of QuickTime, e.g. version 7.1 (the free version) and then run the pano again and then it was perfect. I also have the latest SUN JAVA version on my pc too, (which I must say is "The Nuts"...in UK Lingo) and looked at the pano again using that, and it too was quite perfect, smaller screen than with the Quicktime prog, but slightly cleaner picture, no problems.

Hi Jer,
Showed your panorama to my 2 students at AENA this morning (both high level directors) and they were mightily impressed, 1st one send he send it around to a few people and the second one, who is higher up, looked at it, compared it to their exisiting one, click link below and then sent it directly to the guy in charge of AENA's internet site, saying "Hablamos", so I expect there may be a bit of interest there for you!
The new terminal was featured in Architectural Digest, I think; won some top prize(?) Saw it in a doctor's waiting room Hope you get some sort of deal from this! The pano is awesome; I just wish it were "passenger Sue Yurick, recently arrived in Madrid" on the audio!
Pack light, sleep cheap, eat well.
