Hey all, the annual Feria del Libro (pics and description here) is taking place right now and will run until June 16th in the Retiro Park.
This is not the "Feria del Libro Antiguo y de Ocasin" (The Antique and Second Hand Book Fair on my photo pages)) which takes place twice a year (May and Sept.) but is rather the general book fair (much bigger) that goes on yearly from very late May to Mid June.
So people are still readers in Spain? Sure, I have a son-in-law who goes to Barnes & Noble almost daily, but I think it's for the coffee and to look at the pictures Here's a question: in my semi-braindead early morning state, I thought I saw, "Index to Madrid Best-Sellers"(it was "booksellers")
Anybody willing to check what madrileos are reading these days for a curious person? Non-fiction as well as fiction? Muchas gracias.
Pack light, sleep cheap, eat well.

Hi Jer, thanks for the pics of the feria del libro, we usually go to Spain in May/June, (alas, this year, no) and going to the book fair in the Retiro is always one of the highlights. I'm an avid reader. So now I have visited it virtually, i knew i could count on you!!!
