Just wondering if anyone has information on storm chasing in Spain. I'm not sure if the climate permits, perhaps in the more southern arid areas, there may be some neat lightning shows.
Thanks,
Michael

Although storm chasing is very popular in the US, I don't believe is as popular in Europe. That being said, a search on the computer showed more storm chasing done in UK than in Spain. You might want to check this web site.
For what its worth, there was an interesting article in yesterdays New York Times about storm chasing in the USA. I immediately thought of you when I read it... if I can find the link, Ill post it here!
The UK site actually had a few pictures of storms in Spain. The webmaster said he was going to come in August to scope some storms out. I emailed him today. Perhaps he can give me some information!

Unfortunately I haven't heard from the UK storm chaser recently. Regarding the Madrid weather...It sucks! Lots of rain and freakily low temperatures. No lightning though, however I guess you could see some spectacular low cloud formations if you went to the Sierra.

From me too Booklady, keep safe. I know where you are, but the news is telling me that Charley "turned" and caught Tampa unprepared and is on its way to Orlando and onward.

Me too Carmen, I'm sure it's gonna be okay where you are, it might be a bit worrying with the strong winds & all, but I think it will fade out soon, at least let's hope so.
All of you over there are in our prayers over here.
 Saludos
Santiago.
