Hey guys, I think I remember your Hockey pro shop. It would be near the Retiro (on the other side from the center) near the intersection of Menendez y Pelayo and avenida de Nazaret near the Torre del Retiro . I remember it being on calle Anunciacion behind a little plaza across from the Retiro. Don't remember the name though.

Boneshaker I think you're right...It was across the street from a little entrace to the park. Come to think of it I think it was near where the park ends.

Guys, Jer is right. When I got here I fell off the face the earth literally. I had been studying a lot but now that the work load has let up I've been on the board more frequently. I never pursued the hockey thing because of my workload. However, since July I came across 2 interesting things. 1) Patin de Oro. Decent hockey store near Puerta de Toledo. Looks like they would have to order a complete pad set, but they do sell wooden sticks and blades. 2) One night while at my gf's place I heard the lovely sound of sticks slapping pavement. I looked out the window and to my amazement there were 2 people playing roller hockey. I ran down and began to ask them all sorts of questions. The league that I had mentioned in the beginning of this thread is made up of a bunch of teams, some good, some bad. They told me that they were on the bad team and that I could come downstairs and shoot around with them whenever I wanted. I have yet to do so because I've been away during the summer. If anyone is interested I guess we could just do the same.

Let me clarify. I did not get the #'s of those people. What I meant was that we (or anyone else interested) couuld meet and shoot around at a vacant futbol court just like those 2 people were doing. If by chance I see them again I will ask them if I could bring some people and we could have a 3 on 2 shoot around. The league I had mentioned early in the thread begins in Oct. I think. I think it would be difficult to get a team together on such short notice. Mike
