Yersterday I recalled where is one of the best places to see the huge beauty of LA ALMUDENA. From the M-30!!!!
Yes!, if you are in the M-30 driving your car pacefully (if you can do it in the M-30 ) you can see one of the best views of the la Almudena. To reach to the exact place, you must go from El puente de los Franceses towards the south (Marqus de Vadillo, Santa Mara de la Cabeza ...). The exact place is just 1 Km from El puente de los Franceses, near the tunnel in wich the road comming from Plaza Espaa joins the M-30.
If you go trough the M-30 from N-VI to the south (N-V, N-IV) it's impossible not to see it. It's just a few meters before the diversion to the N-V (Badajoz).
Uff!. It has been very difficult to me to explain it!!!!
At night the views are even more beautiful because la Almudena is light up.
Bye!

Hey totx, you did good on that explanation but not many visitors toi Madrid will have cars to get to that view. I personally like the view of the Almudena from the Templo de Debod. On the far side of the temple there is a lookout that gives you an AMAZING overview of the Royal Palace and the Almudena Cathedral...
Speaking of killer views of the Almudena, the best I have seen is from "Los Jardines de Las Vistillas" (also know as "el Parque de las Vistillas" - Las Vistillas Park) just off the Calle Bailn beyond the Calle Segovia Acquaduct.
