Has anyone here taken a hot air balloon ride in Madrid or the surroundings?

If so, could you recommend a company and tell us what the rates were?

Thanks in advance! smiler

From what I just read, Prices of balloon rides vary between 150€ and 180€ depending upon the location of the balloon flight.

That's just a very few of what I found.

Hope that is of use.

Hi Angelo,

Thanks for taking the time to do that research and responding. I had already researched a number of companies. Now what I am looking for is a personal recommendation from people who have actually flown with the company.

Have you taken a ride in a hot air balloon in Madrid? If so, I would love to hear about your experience.

Thanks!

Hi there, and unfortunately I haven't been on any balloon rides in & around Madrid, I have only ever taken a balloon ride in Barcelona many years ago, on the coastal front, (which to my knowledge is still closed, as of about 2001/2) I haven't been over to check it out since then, and can't even remember how much it was, it was still in Pesetas back then, but something like the price of a Pizza for two, just chump change really, but it was only a very short trip, mostly upwards, and not the proper all around the city type of ride anyway, it was just enough to give people a birds eye taste of the Barcelonetta coast and port Vell areas. I recall it was a good experience though, and I'd love to take a proper balloon flight one day in the near future. I hope you do get to take a flight, I'm sure you'll be thrilled by the experience, it's something people must do at least once in their lives.

Cheers

Angelo
