yes, those are euros per month. there is also most likely a 1 month security deposit as well to be paid which you get back when you give up the room.
there are a LOT of available rooms and flats in madrid these days due to the mass student exodus out of the city for the summer.
270 euros/month is a good deal if sharing with a few others.
the area is very residential and not a long metro or bus ride to the city center. it is also just about smack in the middel of the casa de campo if you are into that.
