Hi,

Anybody have any recent experience with Hostal Arias in Sevilla? I know there's been some good reviews on these boards, but recent opinions would be appreciated. Thanks.

The hostal looks pretty good and is not expensive. Ive been to the area (barrio de Santa Cruz) and it's really charming and beautiful. I`d also like to read any first hand experience.

Un saludo

Since I started this thread, let me follow up. Just got back from Sevilla, where we stayed at the Hostel Arias. Hard to beat the location, a few steps from the Alcazar and the Cathedral. Functional rooms (though ours was a little dark). There seemed to be a whole slew of pensiones and small hotels in the same area, so might have been worth looking around before booking if it were off-season. Front desk staff were cordial, so no complaints overall.

On the topic of places to sleep in Santa Cruz, Sevilla area, the ALCANTARA Hotel is fairly new but in a nice location. http://www.hotelalcantara.net/
