it is part of the high-tech chain and therefore has all the amenities. location is good, but whatever was left of the charming 17th century buidling has been covered over. the one neg i have heard is that the rooms are the size of closets. also, unless your breakfast is included in the price...skip it! why eat their stale croissants in a basement room for 5 euros or more when you can have a fresh continental breakfast at a cafe on the plaza for less??? if you haven't booked, one hotel i love is Hotel Mayor, which is around the corner from the Posada. www.h-plazamayor.com it has a lot more charm and bigger rooms. if you have the bucks, spring for their suite which features a gorgeious terrace. about 130 per night, but ck their web. finally, for the best advice on hotels, sights etc... use www.tripadvisor.com it is massive and jammed with real info from real travellers. i use the spain boards all the time and post a lot in madrid. have fun!
