Hello all & Happy New year We are in Madrid in May for 8 days & looking for a self catering apartment A little about us, we are in our late 50’s, enjoy history, museums, galleries, antiques etc. Looking for an apartment in a quiet, safe area of Madrid with good access to shops (grocery) and public transport. Every agency we have contacted has of course got a vested interest in there rentals Just looking for some honest advice etc don't want to end up near discos & noise if possible Regards Kas Any would be appreciated

Hiya Can't help on a self catering apartment, sorry! Or on grocery stores either! Why not book a cheap hostel, in the centre of Madrid, and eat out in all the fantastic tapas bars and restaurants there are around?
