hey all,
I will be coming to Madrid in a month or so, and wondering how nice the area of town is where I will be working and staying.

My office will be located at the M-30 and Cuesta del Segrado Corazon.
The hotel I will stay at temporarily until I find an apartment will be at Avda. Pio XII and Av del Comandante Franco.

Is this a nice area of town? Is this area too nice where the prices will be through the roof for an apartment?
where should I look for an apartment that is close to my office at the M-30 and Cuesta del Sagrado Corazon?
I will not have a car, I will be walking and or taking a train/bus.

thanks
Kremerica

Unfortunately I don't have any idea about the rental prices in that part of town but personally I think its a very nice, green, quiet area of Madrid. You have Pio XII metro near by and lots of buses.

Ola and Jer,
thanks for your response,

If this area is very expensive, is there somewhere I could stay that is less expensive with a small commute involved?
Like maybe outside the M30...
I don't know the area yet, as I will be traveling there early August.

Also, if this is considered new Madrid, where is old Madrid?
I have alot to learn.
thanks,
Teague
