Hello Everyone,

What would be the best way to find an UNFURNISHED apartment in Madrid with entry date around March. I could be moving there from Brighton, England. Also, does anyone know what paperwork/guarantees are required by landlord/agent for a long-term lease. I have heard of the Segundamano newspaper by the way. A lot of furnished apartments.

Cheers
Carol

I'm searching right now using Segundamano, and am encountering quite a number of unfurnished places as well as furnished. Perhaps just my experience?

hi Carol, Juliette is right, if you can read spanish try segundamano ( www.segundamano.es ), there are tons of places (furnished and unfurnished). there is a good tip thread started by desha about using segundamano online HERE Cool

as for the requirements for renting a flat here, it has been discussed many times on this board.

please do some [search] SEARCHES [search] on related words like "housing", "accommodations", "apartment finding", etc...

also, do not miss the page at madridinsider.com --> HERE, it has exactly what you are looking for (read the whole page).

saludos,
jer...
