Apparently this new hotel (opening next month) is designed by 19 famous architects with 30 bedrooms by different designers. An article I just read in an English Newspaper says that Pablo Couto, (of the Silken Hotel group) asked every famous architect he could think of to devise a scheme for one of the hotel's 12 floors, or for the public rooms.
The place is 'extravagant' - one feature is the lobby bar designed by Marc Newson. The actual bar is made out of a six ton block of marble from Italy and it is truly awesome.
One design feature that I personally think is a great pity -- if you open that web site in Firefox it does not work ! Oh and another niggle. The web address is mis spelt and confusing. Puerta and America. ? An A is missing.
