I just wanted to post a recommendation for a great restaurant hubby and I found a few months ago, Dakota Ribs in La Vaguada. I saw another thread on here with you guys talking about a place called Ribs and then found this one and thought they were the same restaurant, but it's not.
I think this place is the bomb and that's hard for me to say because I'm pretty demanding. The ribs are super tender and they just melt in your mouth. I never ate ribs before with a butter knife, but I couldn't say that's a bad thing. I don't remember what the exact process is, but they marinate the beef ribs in dark beer.
The first time we went we got the sample ribs plate and the sample meats plate and everything was great. We went again on Saturday with a friend and they didn't have ribs because they had a problem with the power the day before, so we had a fat steak that the cook recommended to us instead along with some jalapeño poppers and cheesy fries. Awesome.
The service is excellent and very often the cook comes out to talk to you himself. The bathrooms are very clean and the prices are reasonable as well. I'd definitely recommend if you've got a good ribs craving. They also have a tex-mex menu, but I haven't tried that yet.
