"the man!"

Hey ToniG, the hard to find "off the beaten path" restaurants are usually the best ones. I personally like to follow the Madrid workers to find the best places. I find that the construction workers know the secret places that serve up a great Men del Da since they are usually on a modest budget and like to eat well The "Cocido" you had was "Cocido Madrileo", perhaps THE most typical Madrid dish around. So, not only was it a nice meal but a cultural experience as well. It is a very strong plate for most people and becasue of that it is best to drink a litte (or lot ) red wind with it. Richard has generously provided me and multimadrid with a "Cocido Madrileo receipe at www.multimadrid.com/recipes/cocido.htm I will add your "El Radano" to my looooong (yet distinguished) list of "places to eat" Thanks, jer...
