Has anyone eaten at the restaurant, La Alqueria, at Hacienda Benazuza outside Seville ?

YES! It was quite an experience, too. Dinner was 19 courses!! That took from 8pm to 11:30pm and involved every imaginable edible object. We had a frothy frozen pate served on a spoon, which kind of freaked me out! It was a wonderful experience, though and the service was perfect, too. The next morning we awoke to a 10 course breakfast (I chose to stay in bed and sleep off the night before's dinner!). Are you spending the night as well? The rooms there are fabulous -- the one I stayed in had a bathtub to die for! I hope to spend another night or two there in 2003.

What a coinkidink!

"Se me hace agua la boca" = "My mouth is wattering" Big Grin

"Se me estan poniendo largos los dientes" = "My teeth are getting long" Smiler

Next time I go to Sevilla I am there!

ToniG, what were the prices like for that "food orgia"?

Saludos,

The meals were included in the room price...which was not insignificant! A single w/meals was about $200. It is a really nice place, actually in San Lucar Mayor. There was a wedding at the little chapel on the grounds on the day we were there and it was VERY ROMANTIC--just in case anyone had any plans. I would jump at the chance to stay there again.
