Surfacing from my bed for the first time today... :lo:

I may be in Barcelona the weekend of November 1. I really want to join in but it would seem I'm being difficult schedule-wise. Plan as you will and if I can do it, great, and if not, I'll catch the next one.

My goodness-started with a single question and it's become a MOVEMENT!!!
tortilla!
tortilla!
tortilla!
tortilla!
Tragically (for me), I will not be back in Madrid until the end of November-WAIT FOR ME!!!!
Ok, you actually don't have to do that. Big Grin But maybe we could try again. Poor Pim is VERY good to have put up with me demanding all the details of the perfect tortilla at about 2:30 in the morning in a sherry bar. Wink Thank you, sweetie!!!
I breathlessly await the results of the great tortilla throw-down (hmmm....not sure if that's a keeper).

The idea of becoming tortilleros/as ( Wink :jeje: )for one night sounds fun.

Is that going to be a competition or just a party to eat tortilla until everybody ends up sick of it?

Sensis, sick of tortilla espaola = impossible.

It will not be a competition, just for fun and will most likely take place at the jer&ena pad on Nov. 1st.

Will keep ya posted but people should start to sign up NOW if they want to come.

Tortillaje activity sounds very appealing; and you are right jer, it is impossible to be sick of the wonderful tortilla espaola, which makes one feel that gluttony is the best of the seven capital sins when tasting it [Embarassed] Big Grin

Id like to attend and sign up right now, but the 1st of november is my birthday and Im not sure where I'll be that day -probably in the cold and ancient Len. At least I know for sure I wont be working that day.

Ill check your posts in this thread in case the date for the tortilla night had to be changed to another night when I happen to be free Roll Eyes , 'cos the plan sounds really good and deliciusly tasty.

Thanks anyway, Jer

Hey, I only just noticed that a Tortillafest is being proposed. It might be worth having a separate thread, I thought this was just recipes and tips.

Just to let you know that Im willing to review candidates tortilla offerings, play poker etc., when and where required. :jeje: Stephen

Hey gang, I am gonna have to postpone the tortilla fiesta as I have had a busy week and need to get my shat together.

So, I was thinking of Nov. 15th (Saturday night).

Any objections?

No? Good, glad to hear it Big Grin

The party should work as follows.

Peeps atending will please sign up here on this thread via a post (limit is gonna be 12 people (aside from Ena and myself).

 Each atendee will:

a) prepare their special tortillas.

- and/or -

b) bring ingredients and/or drinks (beer, wine, sangra, soft-drinks, etc...)

Anyone making tortillas that require more than basic eggs and "patatas" (ie. chorizo, cebolla, etc...) will have to bring those extra ingredients themselves.

Anyone making tortillas will need to bring their own frying pan (requested by Ena as ours are crapola and food sticks to them bigtime Eeker )

I was thinking we could also make it a tortilla&sangra party instead of just a tortilla one???

More info to come...

Any additional ideas are VERY welcome.

Saludos,
jer...

Jerito, if the reason to pospone is only that you can't have the party at your place this Sat., don't worry, mine is available. Smiler Now, if you must change plans for any other cause that's another story....

Anyone still interested?

Yeah, I'm in, regardless of whether it's this Sat or the 15th, can't miss a chance to tortillear a bit. But please do decide when and where before tomorrow at 1pm because that's when I go off-line and don't re-connect until Monday morning. Although we can always call each other. I'll bring ingredients, clean up, play strip poker, whatever, but I'm not cooking though, just wanna make that clear. Big Grin

Lovely mm peeps!
I can't possibly make it this Saturday. Rats-o-rama! But hopefully not in your tortilla, eh?

Any other time I am way up for it. Also I am glad to host. My piso is small but the kitchen opens on to the living room so we could all try to see Pim do her thing.

Whatever, whenever babies. If you do it this Sat, my lovin spoonfull is in your tortilla thoughts. If next, well heck, count me in!
