Hey, want to recommend a great place in Madrid for a nice Sidra (Cider) stop.
They have everythign in drinks but the cider is great.
No matter what you order, you get a free tapa with it, ask for the "chorizo", you will LOVE it!!!
Place is called "Bar - Restaurante El eru" and is on Calle Bordadores #5 about half way down on your left if you walk down from Calle Mayor towards Calle Arenal (just off Sol and the Plaza Mayor).

This is an Asturian restaurant. Also don't miss the cabrales cheese with the cider. I think they make a cider and cheese spread to put on slices of pan.

Also try out 'Centro de Asturias' on C/Farmacia semiesquina with Fuencarral, the sidreria is on the third floor, a new meaning of getting a lift to a bar, there's another 'unofficial' Casa de Asturias on C/Argumosa, great during the fiestas, there are also some great Basque sidrerias but some some strange reason I can't remember where.

I think you just solved the mystery of that place on Fuencarral mentioned on THIS THREAD. Nobody could remeber the name and I think you just did with 'Centro de Asturias'
went to a great asturian place last weekend called 'la burbuja que rie' on Calle Angel 16 28005 Madrid Tel. /+(34) 91 366 51 67
the food and service was great even though it was packed! we had entrecote a la piedra, patatas cabrales, almejas, sidra de barril and lomo. all exquisite and very, very cheap. on the weekends there is a gaitero playing..adding to the ambience. its a very laidback and natural restaurant. here are some reviews
i HIGHLY recommend la burbuja que rie!!
