Hey guys, I'm coming back to Madrid for a week in february and I was wanting to eat at a great Argentine steak restaurant that I've been to before, unfortunately I can't remember the name nor where it is. Does anyone know of this place? It was famous, and known in Madrid circles as where "Di Stefano" the former Real Madrid soccer star dines at when he dines out...though I don't know if this makes it any easier. If not, can anyone suggest a good place? I don't mind splurging.

hey antoni,
you'd be better off posting this question in the spain forum of egullet.com. it is a major foodie forum frequented by lots of well-informed (and some famous) food critics, chefs, and restauratuers. if you wanna know about high-end dining in madrid, that is where to go.

I wonder if you are thinking of the Brazilian churrascería near Bernabeu... Baby Beef Rubaiat.

Another option (although not an Argentine restaurant) could be Asador Donostiarra on c/Infanta Mercedes 79. It's a restaurant where Real celebrates their victories (so I guess it's been a while...)
