Am bringing a group of friends to Madrid this weekend for my hen weekend...

I'm looking for ideas of where to go (lived in Madrid 8 yrs ago so clearly things will have changed a bit!). We're looking for funky/cool/kitsch restaurants/bars and a club which will help us have a memorable weekend.

All ideas welcome. Will be grateful for the advice!

Hi Gemini and congratulations for your wedding Big Grin
I went for a couple of hen parties to GULA GULA restaurant. Food consits on all kind of salads buffet and a limited vatiety of warm dishes, but the best of all is the show ! We had a lot of fun there. But the problem is that is usually fully booked, as people book well in advance  and for this weekend both restaurants might be already booked. Ah, important point, shows are held in Spanish !
How many people are you ? Because if you are many pleople, maybe its difficult to get a table....anyway, for another hen party we (about 20 people) went to play paint ball. It was outside Madrid, so you would need a few cars. Dont have the information of the place here, but if you are interested, let me know and Ill ask.

Theres another nice place, but maybe is not the "wild party stlyle"...is called LA CRIPTA MAGICA and its for "magia" shows. This place is quite small too, so you should call first and see if they have any table free for this weekend.

Let me think about more options! Im sure we all can find a nice place for your party !

Hi,

I have heard of a place where all the waiters are drag queens, apparently it is hilarious - quite tame, they do a bit of a cabaret show, and really camp it up. May not be what you were looking for but sounds quite funny to me! Sorry I don't know where it is, but I'm sure other people on this site will also know of it, or have been there, if you are interested. I heard the food is good, but you do need to book.
