I'm also starting my own dicussion group "how to not fear the n-thing" there's a need for that, especially among american men, candela told me...

Hey josh, from what I am reading and considering most of the ladies that were in your harem are single, I think you may have been the victim of some serious "lobas" the other night :jeje: Glad you are alive to tell the tale Saludos, jer...

Ok, sorry it's taken me so long to get back on here. :b: I flew back to New York Monday and have been slammed at work ever since. Have only had enough time to deal with the absolute necessities-like booking my next flight to Madrid (Nov 26-Dec 1), getting my bid in for a seat at Jer's Thanksgiving feast, and defending myself in the volleyball thread. :jeje: BUT I did want to say, it was AMAZING to meet you all-Candela, Juliette, Roland, Paloma, Desha and Josh-you were all completely fun and totally inspirational. I can't thank you enough for everything! I was thrilled to meet you and am SO excited to see you again. Maybe when Juliette has her spinning debut! Or when Candela and I start our new cross-cultural academy (don't ask). Only this time, maybe not mixing so many different kinds of alcohol. (actually, that's just for me-y'all can mix to your heart's content).

hey all, I don't want to see fresh here, but I have a website for electronic music and in the Spain area is a news section that is updated every week with the latest club events in Spain and especially in Madrid. If you want to check it out, it's here: http://www.intuitivemusic.com/noticias.html also, if anyone wants to know anything about any of the clubs in Madrid, drop me a line and I'll fill you in at enaomi18athotmaildotcom Cheers! This week I will be checking out Emotion at Maxime (Ronda de Toledo, 1) on Thursday night and Ellen Alien on Saturday night at Plaza Mostenses, 11 (club is called Coppelia 101 or something like that, recommended by board-member Naomi as a good house/techno club). Anyone care to join me??

Ok, gotta report on my outings this week. Emotion at Maxime ROCKED for the first time since the summer, boy I needed that. Tim Xavier on the 13th should be a blast. On Saturday I checked out Coppelia, which was recommended to me by fellow mm'er Naomi (and is super convenient to my apartment at Santo Domingo). Here's the gist: Club name: Coppelia Location: Pza de Mostenses, 11. You won't know it's there until 12:30 am when they put out the sign! Metro: Santo Domingo or Plaza de Espaa Night: Saturday Music style: house and techno - on this night it was good chunky house in one room and new-wave-80's influenced techno in the other Time it "gets going": 1 AM Cost: 12 E w/first drink included Crowd age and type: 20's-30s (yay) Drink cost: Not sure since I only used my entry Notes: Good music, friendly crowd, reasonable volume but got loud towards the end. Great pre-Coppelia spot: Basico...a bar a few doors down with cozy seating, friendly bartenders, mixed drinks for 4,80, and interesting ambient/chill-out/80's infused/cool music.

Hi I hope I'm posting this in the right area... I've searched the posts, but don't see an answer to my question--- I'm wondering if its safe for a single lady to hit the clubs by herself in Madrid? I'm used to the clubs in New York & Washington, DC, but unfamiliar with the "do's & dont's" of Madrid. (Puera del Sol area) Any suggestions/feedback would be greatly appreciated.
