Hey all, just wondering if anyone knew the after hours scene in madrid and could give me some advice?
I have been to some really cool techno/house discos here and have really enjoyed myself...though I have yet to remember any of the DJs that spin here.
also, have not run into juliette67 to thank her for the club info....thanks!!!

Gracias serge,
I think I know where that club is...will try it when I have a chance.
I was just wanting to know which clubs there are and which ones are popular. You know, just to get me started.

New local government...more drastic rules...afterhours have always been illegal, but the used 2 turn a blind eye.

Yeah the crazy little after-hours places open until lunchtime seem to be hard to find. A lot of places seem to just stay open until 8am or so...

Here's a few ideas:

- Quick (as already mentioned): closes 08h30
- Pick-Up (where Nuez de Balboa crosses... err... Goya? Or something like that - there's a petrol station there): closes 08h30 and they told me it was open every day last time I was there
- Divino: (near the Atleti stadium) - steep cover charge but open until 09h30 on Sundays. Commercial yes... and to quote a visiting English friend "the most beautiful women I've ever seen"... If you're really keen it opens again at 3pm I hear on Sunday until Monday 6am...
- Coyote: (can never seem to find this place)... watch out with this one 'cos they'll charge you 15 euros to get in even if they're about to close!
- Keeper: (Diego de Leon and Principe de Vergara I think) was open until 07h30 last time I was there.
- Space: (Chamartin) never tried it but it's meant to have moved to a midnight - 6am slot on Sunday to Monday night...

There's a few more afters that I've been to but can't remember their names or where they are... Went to one between Gran Via and Sol a few months back that was open until about 11am.

Always up for new places though if people are in the know...

Wow, I guess I missed this thread cuz I was still out of town when it went up. Yeah, unfortunately the after hours situation here is limited...but apparently not dead. I have a new friend who has promised to show me all the places that are out there that might not be, uh, advertised as such. I've been to Sala Divino and it is indeed "pijo" and really doesn't get going until after 4 AM Sunday morning, but the music is very good. I've heard that it is also fun on Thursdays (fri early AM) and Fridays (Sat early AM). I will post more info as I collect it.

I dunno if you'd call this an afterhours but People at Maxime (Ronda de Toledo, 1) opens at 7 pm on Sunday and goes until sometime late. Used to be really popular after Space until that switched to midnight.

Thanks Lavetta for the information...can you tell us anything about the type of music at any of the spots you mentioned?
