I was at the Amaral concert last night. I got there around 2220 and the Plaza Mayor was completely packed. The concert was great, Amaral is a great Spanish band and the crowd was very mellow, even in "the mosh pit." However, I couldn't help but think that Jer was a poor host of this board for not inviting us all up to his apartment to enjoy the concert in real comfort!  How about tonight's concert with Revolver, Jer? Walking back home, I happened to go through Chueca. The streets there around 0100 were like rush hour, jammed with people. There were lots of people in elaborate costumes and tons of middle-aged drag queens. I'm from the West Coast, so it reminded me of San Francisco's Castro District or Polk Street on Halloween (though maybe not as risque). See you all tonight in the crowd at the Revolver concert! |
