Hello
Just came home from visiting the Faraón (Pharaoh) exhibition.
It's open on Thursday till midnight.
This is without a doubt one of best exhibition and one of the most impressive I've seen.
Cairo Museum has lent the Fundacion Canal 120 valuable pieces from the times of the Egyptian pharaohs. Visitors are met at the entrance by an 18-metre pyramid and can then look inside the unopened Mummy Nesperennub, a priest of Karnak, in a virtual film made by experts at the British Museum in London using the latest scanning techniques.
The high level they've reached 3000 years ago, the beauty details of the sculptures, the delicacy of jewelry's pieces are amazing.....
Don't miss it.

Fundacion Canal
Paseo de la Castellana (close to Plaza de Castilla)
monday 10:00 - 18:00
Tuesday,Wednesday,Friday,Saturday,Sunday 10:00-21:00
Thursday 10:00 - 24:00

An exhibition with much older things which is on for a few weeks more is the Atapuerca one in the Museo Arqueológico Nacional.

You can see the oldest piece of funerary art ever found, as well as the oldest complete hominid skull ever found. These are not replicas but the real things, both found at Atapuerca (which has yielded Europe´s oldest human remains outside the Caucasus).

Atapuerca is in the Sierra de la Demanda near Burgos, I believe that the site can be visited too.

The exhibition is free even on days when the Museum isn´t. Not sure if they have exactly the same hours.
