OK - I have never been to a football match before (I may be British but it's true). I am coming to live in Madrid. It seems to me THE match to see would be Real v Deportivo on 23rd March (when I hope to be in town for job interviews). Does anyone know how to get tickets for less than 180 euros a pop (which is what I get quoted online)?! To anyone wondering what happened last time I was in Madrdi - I'll tell you when I see you there next time! Cheers Adrian

Since Mr. Gould already began a thread on football, I too have a question.....

During my upcoming trip, I would like to see Real Madrid at the Bernabeu, particulary for a European match (perhaps against Milan)

.
What is the best method to get tickets considering I am not an "abonado" or "socio"....?

.
I have spoken to a few people, some tell me that a few days before the match, I should call Real Madrid's information line and purchase them over the phone then pick them up at the "taquilla" at the stadium.........another has told me to wait in line at the stadium when they go on sale to the public..........while another said I might want to try the "reventas" (touting) outside the Bernabeu before the match!

.
If anyone has any experience on this, please do help....I've been a fan of the club for many years now, and it would be my first time to see them in that majestic stadium.

Thanks.

Hey guys, hate "ftbol" as a spectator with a passion but I have been told that the best way to score tickets is to...

... as aaa has stated above.

Adrian, I can't help but thinking that if you are dying to see that Real vs Deportivo match on the 23rd and you totally have your heart set on it, you should pay the 180. It is the only way to guarantee scoring tickets. Those babies will sell out the first few hours for sure.

Hmmmm... aaa, you would be risking buying fake tickets as they do that here too. Unless you are a pro at spotting the fake ones, it is probably not a great idea.

p.d. ena says that when we have kids, they will probably want me to take them to football mathces Eeker Eeker Eeker

Thanks Jer for the advice.........I understand what you mean by "hate futbol as spectator.."
I only watch Real Madrid's team........I wont watch or have much interest in anyone else.......but it must be a great experience to stand in the Bernabeu.........

8 days before a match, tickets go on sale from Real Madrid's telephone line......Madrid-Milan was a big match and is now sold out.......all the socios & abonados got their ticket......so I dont know what I am going to do now......I might have to buy some from a British or American on-line ticket agency.

I would assume that it is easier to get access to the Deportivo game as it is a game from Primera and not a big European match like Milan one.

Gould or anyone else interested, take a look at this page:

Hey aaam thanks for that web address, sure it will help many.

Funny thing is that when I lived back in the U.S.A., I used to like soccer but when one moves to Spain, it is the ONLY sport and the drill it into your head 24/7/52 so it gets very annoying.

Heck, even on the news here they tell us the top headlines and the soccer marches are always headlines. They also spend about 20 minutes of a 1 hour news program on the damn sport Razzer

Match vs. Milan was a main match: Milan has already qualified for the QuarterFinals as the first of the group and is at a very good position in Italian league. Just a few days after the match at Bernabu Milan will have to play its "derby" vs. Inter (which is also standing high in the classification), so with a great probability Milan will use many of its reserves vs. R.Madrid, so as not to get men tired (It's called the "turnover").

I'm a Juve fan so of course I hate Milan while I'm also a R.Madrid fan Big Grin Since Milan is an Italian team, I supported it anyway in the Champion's League, but now that they're qualified I will strongly support R.Madrid in that match !!
