it's a 15 minute walk. see http://callejero.lanetro.com/apps/lanetro/mapas.asp?pai...2Dmadrid&prov=Madridfollow calle "morería" northeast to calle "bailen" north (up) and then you will see calle "mayor" on the right just 2 blocks away (heads east). it is a straight shot down calle mayor, past plaza mayor, through puerta del sol and on to carrera de san jerónimo which leads right to the plaza de canalejas where hotel austrias is nearly on the corner of calle sevilla. could not be easier, even if you are drunk. saludos, jer...
