HI! I didn't know where to post this, but i give it a shot. I'm coming to madrid on may 1. I'm dying to g back to the greatest city in the WORLD. I studied in Madrid in 98/99, and havent been back since. Now I going back to see (hopefully) Real-Barca in C.L 1 of may. Does anyone know how to get tickets for the match? if someone could reply i'd love it. All tips are helpfull. I'm desperate :-)
Thanks!!
Redondo

Hey Redondo, welcome to the group. I know you were confused as to where to post this but PLEASE, PLEASE, no matter what you do, do NOT post it in more than one forum. It confuses things bigtime and screws up the message board software a bit Frowner Once is more than enough.

I am not a football fan and am not positive on this but I am pretty sure thast in order to get tickets for a huge match such as that one you will need to camp out the night before the tickets go on sale and wait forever to get them.

Saludos & I will see if I can get more info on the May 1st match for you.

I believe youll not be able to get tickets..I tried to get for Real-Mnchen, but they were all sold out very quickly, black market-granpa selling tickets outside would have sold for a ticket for 200euros...well if you are a huge fan and can afford it but still...

Hey, wiboi is right and BEWARE the granpapa with the 200 Euro tickets to scalp, they are fake and you will be out 200 Euros and still not get in to see the match.

Thanks guys for you replies. So if the only option is to buy from old grandpa, considering i'm coming all the way from Norway in order to see the match, I basicly would go through fire to obtain tickets. I saw the Real-Barca game in 98, and got tickets from just your ordinary Grandpa. It worked, but how do i know the fake tickets from the real ones? I didn't know at the time, but it worked. What would be the difference between socio tickets and the other ones?

Hi Redondo, trying to tell fake tickets from real ones is next to impossible unless you are a pro. I think it is like trying to tell the difference between an original CD and a copy of it by listening to them.

You can try to get the seller in front of one of the stadium employees at the gate to ask if it is real before you buy it but you will need to be fluent in Spanish to do this as odds are that the ticket takers will not speak English.

All in all you are going to risk it but as you said, it worked for you years ago and I guess you are willing to try anything.

It is up to you.

Saludos,

Im not sure about this, but I heard that they have marked in Barcelona tickets for tonights game with the name of purchaser (spelling...), so those granpas cant buy all the tickets and make the business of their own. Youll have to prove your identity when going to the match with the ticket with your name on it. I think thats quite good system if it works out.
