Hi guys, American TV and government once again began to induce more panic and fear into people by announcing possible terrorist attacks. the countries they mentioned include spain: madrid and southern spain. not a good thing to hear a week before going to madrid and southern spain. we really don't want to give in but of course you can't help thinking... anything about it on Spanish TV? i am not giving in but i guess i need support. thanks guys!

I agree 100% with Jer. If something were meant to happen to me, it would happen. I can't let others dictate how I live my life or where I should go. That's not me at all. I am leaving June 28 and no looking back for me.

I think you simply cannot let fear keep you from doing the things you most want to do. For example, I HATE flying, but it's the only way to get to the places I want to go. I always just hope that if I'm going to die in a plane crash, that it crashes on the way back home.

I haven't been watching the news too much lately, but I have been reading cnn.com, and they say that the U.S. has raised its terror alert to high (orange) due to possible terrorist attacks. I'm sure that the likelihood of a terrorist attack is just as high here in the U.S., so I don't see any difference being here or in Spain. Just enjoy your trip and don't worry about it! The things that could happen in Spain could just as easily happen here.
