Here I come in from pretending to work all day, and see this sleazy & tawdry (2 of my favourite words) subject line. Quite a teaser for those items we used to put on door knobs at the great U. of Miami.
By the by....still haven't had a reponse from you re: my earlier invite to you (& yours) for dinner at Lhardy's....week of Nov. 11 - 15....let me know since I'll have to work on a series of bribes with the guy in the blue penguin suit what guards their front door...I hope he has a short memory, but time (& multiple Euros) will tell.
Let me know.

In Madrid All Things Are Possible...Except Skiiing Through The Revolving Door At The Ritz
By the way, did anyone catch the protest by the "trabajadoras de amor" on Sunday in Puerta del Sol? All of the newspapers carried stories about it on Monday. The nice ladies who spend their time on calle Montera and Casa de Campo were protesting against the Mayor's persecution and harrassment of them. Among the many signs the protesters carried was the one that was in all the papers: "Follar, follar, follar, es un servicio a la comunidad."
It's bad enough when I hit New York there's usually a garbage collector's strike, and when I visit New Orleans it's the damn cabbies that don't want to work, but now you're telling me mis amigas del Casa del Campo are picketing just prior to my arrival????? Contrary to popular belief, there is a limit to my patience.
All I need to hear now is that Franco was spotted wolfing down Ensalada Rusa at La Caserola and I might keep on flying to Ibiza.

i have to agree with thyglow and the world going crazy with strikes. here in california everyone is on strike-grocery stores, LA bus mechanics, police officers...i wonder if the "ladies of the night" in los angeles will catch the strike fever and ask for better medical benefits like everyone else?
