Hi, I will be in Madrid during the weekend of 19,20,21st March... There will certainly be an unusual atmosphere in my beloved and hurt city... I'm going to light a candle for all the (more of) 200 innocents dead on 11-M and I will do it with a message that has always been in any Italian person's heart, because of common origins, habits, lifestyle, language root and so on: "Cada vez que un Espa�ol encuentra a un Italiano,
en cualquiera parte del mundo,
encuentra a un hermano y amigo..." Hala Madrid !
El camino hacia el éxito es largo, recórrelo con nosotros...<br />HALA MADRID !

Hi jer and madrilenos: Just my thoughts on current events. I think it is very unfortunate that terrorism was able to affect the outcome of Spains election and I believe civilization will pay globally and substantially in the future due to the message this sends. Having said that, I would like to express my deepest condolences to all of you who lost loved ones on 3-11 in the town I grew up in as I said in my original post . I also believe Spain will recover from the shock and fear; but at least for many, never the sense of loss and grief from this tragic day which is so similiar to our own 9-11-2001. Although I normally don't comment on matters of faith these passages seem to jump out at me regarding 9-11 and 3-11 so excuse me if I feel compelled to share them with you: Psalm 44 25 We are brought down to the dust; our bodies cling to the ground. 26 Rise up and help us; redeem us because of your unfailing love. "Fear not, I am the first and the last, and the living one; I died, and behold I am alive for evermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades (Revelation 1.17-18)" |
