Rather than my usual Atlanta-Gatwick-Madrid routine on BA I thought I would Atlanta-Gatwick-Gibraltar next time. No problem with that part.
It becomes a problem when you travel from Gib-Madrid. The only flights I can see involve returning to the UK, then back to Madrid. Is anyone aware of some practical way to perhaps take a bus from Gib to Malaga, then fly on to Madrid?

Thyglow, there are buses all over the place from Gib to Malaga on all the search engines!!!!! Then on www.spanair.es there are flights from Malaga to Madrid, arbitrary date 09/09/04, for 38 one way.
Now, for someone who can ski through revolving doors, I am sure you could have done that as easily as me!!!!!!!!

Great info......thanks. I managed to find hotel and some other info, but basically I am Search Engine Challenged.
As for the revolving door thing, I never actually really totally entirely completely truthfully skiied all the way through. Being a stickler for detail I insisted on using 200cc GSs (not those bunny-slope 160s) which made a clean run near impossible.
However, spectators did remark later that the resulting shower of sparks was a thing of beauty when viewed against the subdued late evening lighting of the hotel lobby.

hey thyglow, when i went to gibraltar years back, for both legs (there and back) we walked across the border and took a bus from "la linea (de la concepcin)" --> www.cadiznet.com/lalinea .
on the way back, we took a but to sevilla, then up to madrid by train a few days later.
even if you take a bus to mlaga, the advantage of getting the bus from la linea instead of from gibraltar itself is that you avoid a possible line of cars at the border by walking through.
