Hi Jer, please advise if there's any cheap flight bound from paris/cannes/nice to Barcelona ? I can't find any from no-frills company, like easyjet. And what route is the most time&$$ saving ? it takes 13 hrs from Paris to Barcelona by train which is too much for me, have been thinking about night trian but since i am a female solo traveler, a bit worry on the safety issue. Also, any ideas about how to get to Madrid from Rome ?

Thanks

Hey, I would say that checking the Iberia or AirEuropa prices would be a good bet, asking a travel agent maybe, they seem to know what they're doing. where are you? These are some student travel agencies, they usually have cheaper prices and good deals:

# Usit Voyages, 10, rue de Belgique, Nice, Tel: +33 / 4 93 87 34 96
# Paris Council Travel, 1, place de L'Odeon, Paris, Tel: +33 / 1 44 41 89 89
# CTS France, Student Travel Centre, 20, rue de Carmes, Paris, Tel: +33 / 1 43 25 00 76
# Usit Voyages, 12, rue Vivienne, Paris, Tel: +33 / 1 42 44 14 00

Hope that helps! Keep us posted, Joy

Hi jbuddha, while I am no pro at finding good deals on flights, jennyfyc has given you some good advice.

I also looked at AIR EUROPA and did a flight search for Paris-Madrid-Paris (assuming you want a round trip). I came up with a few flights, the cheapest of which was 280.12 Euros RT and one way was about 200 Euros. I know that is not cheap but you may have to bite the bullet and take the night train (shoud be safe enough) to save those Euros.

Have a look for yourself and play around with the website to get good prices.

Let us know how it goes and if you end up coming to Madrid.

Uuuummmm... flying Big Grin Wink Red Face

Seriously though, if the 13 hour train from Paris to BCN is too long, foget the train from Rome Eeker

I would do what Joy suggests and scope out the good travel agencies in Rome when you get there. They are bound to have a USIT and/or Council travel as well.

Have you tried ALITALIA? I started to do a flight search for "Roma" (Partenza) to "Madrid" (Arrivo) on the site and got a ton of flights but before they give you a price quote they make you register as a user of their website Razzer May be worth it for you however to give you an idea of normal prices.

Saludos,
jer...

Hi guys, thank you for the advice. Due to my tight budget, I'll probably buy the rail pass for France and Spain, I picked the Youth pass (for those under 26 by the first day you use your pass) which is only 189US for any 4 days in two months, 8 hrs from Paris to Barcelona, another 4 hrs from BCN to Madrid. Haven't finalized my route still stumping around the web to find some cheap offers, will stop by Madrid for sure.

Have a lovely day !! Wink :l:
